STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Keeping It Classy

March 14th, 2016 at 2:00am

It is a rainy day in Ohio and all I can think about is how this means that spring is only a few weeks away. Typically rainy days call for, movies, pajamas and coffee, but rain is also the perfect excuse to break out an adorable umbrella! Since you know that you are safe from the elements under your favorite umbrella, the only worry you have is finding the right outfit for the weather. This Fashionista is spot-on when it comes to classic style. Fashion isn’t always about wearing the latest trends, it is important to stay simple and remain classic.

Some cool staple pieces are shown here, while still representing the Fashionista’s personal style. This fur collar coat is a fantastic shape and color that complements her skin-tone and hair. It is just right for the weather and it dresses up the outfit. I am obsessed with these nude lace-up flats, the strings are dainty and add a feminine touch to the entire look. An item you can never go wrong with is an excellent pair of boyfriend jeans. In my opinion, the best boyfriend jeans are a light wash, have the right amount of holes and most importantly are extremely comfortable. This Fashionista continues to keep it classy with a modest black turtleneck sweater. The bag is amazing for many reasons, but the coolest part is that it is a real vintage Gucci bag that she received from her grandma. It adds that subtle pop of color and pattern to spice out the ensemble. Lastly, the everyday simple jewelry that is shown here is a wonderful way to add a personal touch to your look. Her necklace is a gold pendant with her name on it and she is wearing her Claddagh ring that shows her Irish heritage.

What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK? “I love my black turtleneck sweater. It is a piece that you can throw on for any day and it wall always look stylish. I think this is a item that everyone should have in their closet.”
