STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Floral-ly Obsessed

“Floral is so ugly,” said no one ever. Y’all, a little floral can go a long way. This is one trend that has been around for a while and I think it is definitely one for the keeps. In high school, I was a bit obsessed with the trend, and although I don’t cloud my wardrobe with it as before, I do think everyone should have a few floral statement pieces on deck, and I am not talking about growing a whole garden of floral tops in your closet! It is a great way to lighten up your attire. It has also taken a big hit with the Fashionistos as well. I was recently at a local fashion show and this particular designer had numerous outfits for guys, and a lot of it had the floral print incorporated into them. I thought that was so tight—and it looked really good!

I thought this Fashionista was incredibly adorable! Her outfit was super cute; it was definitely something you could rock to class without being too much. She wore a floral print crop top with the perfect combination of turquoise and salmon-colored flowers. And see, some people think that floral print can be overpowering and that’s why they don’t fool with it, which actually, sometimes it can be, but, there are definitely some minimalistic pieces of floral print clothing that won’t overwhelm you. This Fashionista’s top is the perfect example of what I am talking about. She then wore it with a pair of black ankle pants. For shoes she threw on a simple pair of sandals. She did not accessorize with jewelry but she was carrying a pale teal tote bag she just recently purchased from ALDO. She also blesses her lips with a deep burgundy lipstick to seal her fashion’s fate.

What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK? “I hate when people overdo things, especially with their clothes. It is okay to keep it simple. I promise.”
