I’m back, Fashionistas/os, to discuss a breakout trend this fall season: the turtleneck. It’s not surprising that this is a major trend this season because hundreds of designers sent this look down the runway during New York Fashion Week fall 2015. Trends come and go, but the turtleneck is definitely back and here to stay! Designers created many different looks with this high-neck knit, but the most frequent and fabulous was the layered turtleneck look.
How does one pull off such a statement? This fashion connoiseur proves this simplistic and chic look can definitely make a killer outfit this fall season. The University of Dayton Fashionista this week layered her camel and black turtlenecks with her fitted white jeans proving that the “no white after labor day rule” is so 2008. She then pairs this autumn outfit with her textured, black and white coat, trendy lace-up shoes and her must-have structured, leather tote to top off the outfit. The Fashionista’s look is a chic, modern silhouette that gives off the aesthetic of a model on her day off using the streets of Paris as her runway. Turtlenecks can take a look to the next level while looking like one walked right out of a kate spade campaign and not having to worry about pairing bold statement necklaces with the outfit.
