ShopDrop is looking for an enthusiastic, detail oriented social media intern who will work with the Director of Marketing, CMO and CEO to assist with the creation and execution of sample sale coverage and social media campaigns. These efforts will support SEO and content efforts.
This role will be involved from attendance at sample sales, photography and blog-writing of events as well as ownership of content posting and growth on a social media channel of choice. The content marketing and social media intern will fill the shoes of a fashion journalist on the hunt for the best sales. This role will be responsible for attending sample sales in NYC, writing a variety of blogs on them. ShopDrop writers pride themselves on delivering the most quality content to their readers by including high quality photos, fantastic English writing skills, and writing on brand.
The right candidate will be detail oriented with a desire to further understand what content drives customer engagement. In addition, the right candidate will have strong writing skills and a desire to improve proficiency with our marketing tech (email services product development, events). ShopDrop is looking for an intern to start immediately in their NY office.
Responsibilities:
- Attend at least one sample sale per week
- Take images for social media and for blog posts
- Write weekly review for the blog, newsletter and site
- Work closely with marketing operations to ensure projects are fulfilled and communicated
- Conduct analyses that inform future social media strategies
Requirements:
- Impeccable English writing and communication skills
- Ability to work both remotely and on site
- Must be extremely self-motivated and deadline oriented
- Creativity in writing style
- Excellent organizational skills, flexibility and team working ability
- Detail-oriented attitude and high level of precision
- Fluent in the use of social media and passionate about learning growth hacking
- Photography skills are a bonus but not required
- Proficiency in Photoshop & Illustrator are a bonus but not required
- Proficiency in video-creation are a bonus but not required
- Previous writing samples must be submitted with the application
