Belle D’AMour is looking for graphic design/illustration interns for their Fort Lauderdale, Florida office, to start immediately. Belle D’Amour is a young design/manufacturing company of unique lingerie pieces, robes, chemises, bodysuits, corsets, bras, swimwear, leggings, cover ups, jackets for women and girls.
Responsibilities:
- Measure and evaluate garments from proto sample through TOP within category assignment
- Assist in the creating of tech packs – entering style information, updates, construction details and POMs
- Prepare fit samples for fittings on live model
- Assists in fittings with Technical Designer and Head Designer to assure that each style is successfully executed
- Assist writing fit comments with all necessary detailed sketches & photos
- QC production runs for inconsistencies and flaws
- Interact daily with Designer
- Assist with image production (cropping, masking)
- Create featured and promo images
- Assist with layouts for daily content
- Help gather assets for weekly features
- Slice features and prepare for web
- QA weekly features
- Develop catalogs, Look Books, Point of Purchase displays, signs and packaging and Hang tag Artwork
- Work / assist on tech packs if needed
- Graphically create intimates design ideas/Repeat Prints and coordinate from concept to production
Requirements:

- Familiarity with luxury fashion
- Must love fashion and know and understand fashion trends.
- Ability to merchandise line and create planograms/presentations
- Photo editing skills required
- Deadline-driven and excellent time management, problem-solving and organizational skills
- Open to feedback, team player and flexible to daily changes and getting the job done
- High level of compositional skills, accuracy and acute attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills (they must speak some English)
- Experience with HTML design is a plus, not required
- Knowledge in the intimate apparel, swimwear and RTW is a plus
- Must enjoy high-volume, fast-paced sku intensive work environment
- Must have knowledge of the following software using MAC or PC platform:
- Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign (CS4/CS5)
- Adobe Acrobat – Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)
- 3D programs such as Sketch up is a plus, not required
