These Are The Eclectic Winter Styles of Canada’s Most Fashionable Students

Toronto winters are the epitome of chill—in every definition of the word. While it may dip below freezing here every day in the winter, you will still see people with their jackets open, sporting extravagant leather boots, and barely-there toques. Fashion first, am I right?

TO college students are amongst those sporting eclectic winter styles. On campuses around the city, a mixture of beanies and baseball caps paired with fur jackets or parkas are being donned by different fashion-forward students.

We decided to hit the streets and ask some of these college Fashionistas how they are styling their winter best. Check out how fashionable Toronto students are styling their favorite winter coats and accessories and get inspired to do the same!

“It is hard to stay stylish and warm during the winter season, so my trick is to wear faux fur jacket. Not only it saves me from freezing, but it also makes my outfit look more glamorous. I love pairing it with my favorite sweater and keep the look chic by wearing gold rings.”

“I’m a pretty conscious shopper, and this includes my wardrobe. My backpack and jacket are both vegan leather; I think it helps to be thinking about how the materials that keep you warm and are functional also affect the environment and other resources.”

“Staying warm is always my top priority, so I wore my black oversize jacket on top of a silk bomber. Then, I kept it casual with my vintage jersey T-shirt which oozes a sporty vibe.”

“I got this coat off of BUNZ Trading Zone for a crazy deal. All of my friends tease me for it, but it’s a great way to thrift for unique pieces if you’re not able to spend a tone of money.”
