BEAUTY BAR: Classy. Cool. Color.

Just because the weather is cold outside does not mean you have to sacrifice style! There are so many ways to play up your look and bring some color into your life. This Fashionista is warming up this winter with warm earth tones. She is rocking a form-fitting beige dress, and a classic black trench coat. She paired it with some killer high-heeled lace-up boots. To dress the look up, she has added a gold chain necklace, and brown and gold earrings. Gold jewelry plays up the warm tones of her dress, makeup and skin. This is the perfect look for a night out in the city.

What makes this outfit complete is the hair and makeup. The gold glitter eyeshadow and burgundy creamy matte lipstick contrast well with the dress. The magenta hair really brightens up this Fashionista’s look and face. If you aren’t afraid of color, this bold pop of magenta for the hair is very on-trend right now. Hair dyed in any color of the rainbow is so popular at the moment, so why not try something new? Winter is the perfect time to dye your hair a bright color because it offsets the neutral and dark tones you typically wear this time of year. The magenta hair adds a refreshing touch to this look, which lacks bright colors otherwise. It is all about balance! This hair color is perfect for someone who has not tried color in their hair before because it is bold yet soft.

What’s on the BEAUTY BAR: You can spare yourself the expense of going to the hair salon because this look can be achieved right at home. If you have naturally dark hair like our Fashionista here, she used a BW2 bleach powder by Clairol and mixed it with a 40 Volume Creme Developer by SalonCare to activate it. The next step is to dye your hair with a mix of pink and purple Manic Panic semi-permanent hair color. It is a 100 percent vegan alternative to most hair dyes. Lastly, to achieve those perfectly coiled curls, you can use flexi rods on dry, moisturized hair. Let it set overnight, and take them out in the morning. This is the perfect no-heat solution that gives you a tighter curl than a roller set.
