AROUND TOWN: Fira Boutique

Shopping on a college campus can be tough. For all of those Fashionisto/as without a car on the Illinois campus, we all know the struggle of hiking to the nearest mall. This was problematic until I found Fira. This small boutique has clothes for every occasion. My online shopping wars came to a ceasefire as I am now able to find anything I need only a block away, from formal dresses to interview blazers. I got the chance to speak with Alyssa, one of Fira’s stylists, for more scoop on the boutique.

Name: Alyssa Inskeep

Role: Stylist and Sales Associate

CollegeFashionista: What does Fira value most in its workers and as a business?

Alyssa Inskeep: Definitely customer service. The customer is always the most important thing when they come to our store. We have water bottles and candies waiting for them and it is so important to us to keep our clients happy.

CF: Since working here, what has been Fira’s largest accomplishment?

AI: Fira is almost about to launch its new website! It took about a year to plan and the tentative launch is in March, which is only about one more month. It’s amazing that we have been able to do this.

CF: How has your time working at Fira changed you as a stylist?

AI: Working at Fira has definitely given me a better grasp on fashion in general. I used to work at another boutique until I moved here and the experience has been great so far. I am better at pairing things together and our manager Anna will always help me put outfits together as well.

Learn More: Head down to Fira for a trendy a steal and meet Alyssa and Anna. The store is located in Urbana at 700 South Gregory Street.
