ALL IN THE DETAILS: There’s Snow Place Like Home

Sorority recruitment can be a confusing and nerve-wracking time, but it doesn’t have to be! While you’re looking for your home away from home, you want to put your best foot forward. Of course you won’t be judged on your looks, but putting time and effort into picking out your best outfit will not only make you feel good but also show that you care. Looking your best will also help you feel your best, allowing you to make amazing connections with potential sisters.

This Fashionista did exactly that with her all-white monochromatic look. This look is cute and feminine but also bold. It breaks the rule of no white after Labor Day and risks the chance of being completely ruined by a shaky hand or spilled drink. Yet somehow it defies all of this, instead looking trendy and cutting edge.

Topping off this look, she wore an oversized cowl neck sweater tucked into a trendy origami skirt. Her wine colored ankle booties added a pop of color. The strip of gold just above the heel was a unique detail. Her gold bracelets and ring continued this subtle metallic trend without overpowering the entire look.

When you’re wearing a monochromatic outfit, it really is all in the details; this is especially true if your color of choice is white. It’s the tiny details that allow the outfit to really shine when there’s a huge potential for it to flop.

How To: To replicate this look, all you need is a comfy, oversized sweater that you can probably steal from your mom’s (or dad’s!) closet. Pair that with a chic mini skirt and some cute ankle booties.
