ALL IN THE DETAILS: Put a Hat On It

Being from Florida, I never really knew how to dress for cold weather. My roommate is from Delaware, so she knows just about every tip in the book for staying warm. Something that I’ve learned from her is that accessories are a key component! Whether it’s a pair of some nice gloves, a warm hat, a faux fur lined coat, etc. you can always count on them to make a stand out. When it comes to being a Fashionista in cold weather, it’s all about the details.

I believe that a hat is the most important part of dressing for cold weather. You can’t let your ears freeze! This Fashionista has perfectly styled a faux fur hat to match her faux fur coat. There are many different styles of hats that you can wear, my personal favorite are beanies. I find them to be one of the easiest ways to instantly make your look a tad bit edgier. But trapper-style hats, like the one this Fashionista is wearing, is another great pick. There are tons of different styles to choose!

Wearing hats that are lined with faux fur, wool or fleece are great ways to keep the top of your head warm, especially if it’s a windy day. You won’t have to worry about your hair getting all messed up either! This way you add that extra pizazz to your look, while being that much more fashionable. Whether it’s a bright pink, blue or even black hat, you’ll stand out just a little bit more. I’m always noticing the fun hats the girls around my campus are wearing!

How To: Next time you want to pull your hair up, or don’t want to have to deal with styling it, don’t be afraid to put on a hat! The possibilities are endless because you really can’t go wrong. Plus, your ears will thank you later!
