This month is all about “going for gold.” With the 2016 Olympics just wrapping up, the world saw various countries fighting to the finish in hopes of getting a taste of that gold medal. Some competitors fell just a millimeter short of the gold, but that does not mean that they did not work as hard as they could to get there. All of the late night practices and little details that went into that gymnastics routine and that high dive paid off and did not go unnoticed.
Well, here I am, attempting to get that gold medal in this versatile outfit paired with gold accents.
I am back with another pair of black skinny jeans—I swear I own other jeans, I just happen to really like black skinnies! I decided to put a cage-like camisole underneath my plain white T-shirt to add a unique twist. My blue denim chambray shirt is a thrifted find and I absolutely love the style of it. It has striped panels on opposite sides and I think that it really adds to the outfit!
The details in this outfit are small but mighty. I am a big fan of gold accessories. You will always catch me looking in the gold section of the jewelry at Forever21! My simple and dainty rings each offer a different texture to the outfit. The watch is a simple addition that can make any outfit look really put together. Now, my favorite part of this outfit is the purse. This mustard colored purse with a tassel and gold hardware is my newest purchase and I think it is the perfect purse to transition into fall. Lastly, the shoes. These lace up sandals have been my favorite this summer. The design and small gold details complement a lot of the outfits in my closet and I cannot get enough of them. Finish off any outfit with a pair of sunglasses and you are good to go for the day! My sunglasses are a cheap department store pair that almost resemble gold Ray-Bans.
I can envision this outfit working for a variety of occasions. Comfy and cute for class, casual yet trendy for a day of shopping! Switch out the sandals for a pair of brown or black heels/booties and you have yourself the perfect night-out outfit!
This outfit is so versatile and detailed enough to make it past the finish line with style and comfort.
