The first hints of summer are finally appearing in Toronto! The weather here has been pretty fickle, going from a cold weather alert to 20 degrees Celsius all in a 36 hour period, but I think it’s finally calming down. This would mean it’s safe to pack away the sweaters and pull out the shorts and sandals!
However as much as I love the heat, one of the things I always miss in summer is layering. One of my favorite ways to throw together quick outfits is to use a few staple pieces and layer them to add depth and variation to a look. Obviously it’s a little too hot to do any layering in summer, so the next best thing is accessorizing and the easiest way is using statement necklaces! There are many kinds of statement necklaces, but I think the most versatile kinds are silver bib statement necklaces that been trending the past season. Although they are pretty pricey and can go up into the thousands, a simple DIY is to buy normal statement necklaces and stack them at different lengths.
