WHAT TO WEAR: Errands

Getting ready to go out for errands on a day when you have nothing else to do can be a drag. You want to look good, but since you’re only going out for groceries, to drop off a package at the post office or to your excruciatingly painful morning biology class, you don’t feel like putting much effort into your appearance.

This Fashionista is able to effortlessly embody what it truly means to be “classy and casual” by pairing a very thin, white collared, button-down shirt (perfect for the Texas heat), with dark wash bootcut jeans. Although this is a very simple outfit, the chocolate brown, oxford-style dress shoes add an element of sophistication along with the square-rimmed eyeglasses and simple watch. Not only is this outfit very chic, but it’s also convenient, as the shirt pocket can be used for a pen and grocery list, while the jean pockets can be used for a wallet and keys.

Waking up ten minutes before your class or appointment starts doesn’t mean that you have to look like you woke up just a few minutes prior. This Fashionisto proves he can look à la mode in a matter of minutes.

One Simple Change: If you tend to walk to your destination (instead of driving in an air conditioned car), and live in a state that is unbearably hot, wearing khaki shorts (or even pants) may be a better option for more comfort and less sweat on a summer day. If the shorts look too dressed down for your personal style, tucking the shirt in and throwing on a belt to match the leather Oxfords could be a nice addition.
