STYLE GURU STYLE: Tribal Love

So I have always had the belief that one should look their best no matter where they’re going. More often than not, my idea of what’s casual is very different than my friends (apparently I’m very dressy)! This outfit was inspired mostly by the skirt. When I first saw it online, I was really loving the tribal print. To me, the print was very summery and festive. What really ties the outfit together is the amazing drape necklace and fringe shoes. Fringe is very in for this season: shoes, bags, vests; it’s a fringe mania! So these Zara shoes were absolute perfection—they just yelled festive and party.

For her spring/summer 2015 collection, Tory Burch really emphasized tribal as her theme. In look three of her collection, both tribal prints and fringe are in the collection. The look was very chic and summer vacation-like, perfect for that girl who wants to explore the city and brunch with friends at an outside seating café. So when I was invited to a celebration that relied on the summer air, I knew this was the perfect, chic look for me.

I was invited to a friend’s graduation celebration and was going for that “summer has started” look. I LOVED this skirt. It was so affordable and the print was really cute and cultural; it reminded me of the Mayans and Aztecs. The bag was affordable as well; coming from Zara for 40 dollars is a pretty good deal and it is surprisingly spacious.
