STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: For the Love of Jeans, I Got Some New Boyfriends

To wear jeans or not to wear jeans, a question for all the Fashionistas and Fashionistos of this age. This Fashionista pulls off the carefree-boyfriend jean look flawlessly. She paired her go-to jeans with her comfy flannel and some cute and funky accessories to play this look up and looked put together while doing so.

Grunge is finding it’s way into everyone’s closet. From a flannel frenzy to loose fitting clothing, the age of grunge is slowly making a comeback in the most fashionable ways. Women wearing slouchy jeans, messy buns and some fun jewelry, it’s really a match made in heaven. And grunge doesn’t always mean dirty look or dark clothing, it can mean a casual weekend outfit or an effortless going to school look.

This trend of loose fitting jeans with slouchy cardigans or flannels has really hit the college world by storm. To be honest, there’s a variety of jeans that have been circulating around campuses. However, the reason that the boyfriend jeans have found a way into all of our hearts is because the effortless rips that give a distress look and the movable/breathing room they have creates the perfect potion for the ideal jean. And these jeans can literally go with everything. Boyfriend jeans can be paired with a graphic T-shirt or a fitted top with a statement necklace to polish it off. Then throw a pair of sneakers or heels and there’s an outfit that will make people stop and stare.

What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK? “I tend to do more of a basic look with plain tees and ripped jeans, but then I add a little edge with a grunge flannel or some funky jewelry to add my own flare.”
