Jet Set Candy is looking for Independent National part-time or full-time sales representatives in the Chicago and LA area. We are looking for ambitious and self-starting individuals with a passion for fashion, design, and travel to join our growing team. This position is commission based and is a great opportunity for the right person to build a business within a business. You will work part-time or full-time and independently from your own location with close support from our office based in New York City. We are looking for long-term commitment with unlimited growth opportunity within the company. Compensation is commensurate with experience and performance.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and own the strategic plan for your specific market in order to make the brand a dominant player in the jewelry sector.
- Be responsible for achieving sales goals.
- Ensure that quarterly and annual objectives are met and in line with the overall sales and marketing strategy of the Jet Set Candy brand.
- Plan, control and direct activities and sales of retailers in your territory to hit the sales targets and desired profit margins.
- Achieve sustainable, long term and short-term growth.
- Ensure that regular trunk shows, and quarterly visits are conducted and documented and relevant product training is delivered to the retailers and selling staff.
- Ensure that the product knowledge of the retailer is exemplary and that the end consumer through the retailer adopts the Jet Set Candy vision and values.
- Ensure that each account has Jet Set Candy placed in an appropriate environment and location for the brand and product representation.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 2 – 3 years experience in a similar sales management function. Within the jewelry industry is favorable but not essential.
- An extensive network of buyers in either specialty and/or department stores – (established relationships). With jewelry specifically is favorable.
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to lead, work as part of a team & build strong, effective relationships.
- A clear understanding of how to research and interpret markets, trends, challenges and opportunities.
- An intermediate to advanced knowledge of mainstream software including Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Competency with cloud-based software including retail and customer management systems.
- Available at least 3 days/week
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Experience with POS systems
- Self-starting and highly motivated
