6 Fall Eye Makeup Looks You’ll Want to Wear to the Pumpkin Patch

Autumn is almost here, which means all of my favorite things: changing leaves, cool, crisp nights, and pumpkin-flavored everything. The season also marks a period of transition. As the leaves change color and I start a new school year, fall makes the perfect time to welcome fresh perspectives and break out of stale routines as I move into my senior year. One thing that could use a little bit of spicing up? My makeup routine. It’s easy to fall into an autumn beauty rut, full of warm-toned neutrals and finished with the go-to matte lip you’ve been rockin’ since Kylie made it cool in 2012. Here’s 6 fresh fall eye makeup looks, courtesy of our beauty gurus. Consider fall makeup sorted.

Use Daring Jewel Tones for an On-Trend Pop of Color

Take some inspo from the changing leaves and leave behind your usual go-to neutrals for a jewel-colored shine that will make your eyes pop. Think dramatic hues like emeralds, deep reds, and amethyst to really open up your eyes and create the ultimate shining effect. We love the way Briana kept the look simple, accenting with a sweep of copper under her lids for contrast. Try using the Urban Decay Distortion Palette ($24) to amp up the deeper shades.

Channel Your Inner Cheryl Blossom with Natural Eyes and a Bold Red Lip

While we still have to wait a few more months for Cheryl and the rest of the gang to get back on our screens, there’s no reason we can’t steal some iconic beauty inspo in the meantime. Keep things red-hot and pair natural browns, a shimmery inner-eye highlight, and feathery lashes with a bold red lip. Your look will instantly feel more glam while still staying class and quad-approved. For extra pigment that doesn’t dehydrate your lips, test out Too Faced’s Peach Kiss Moisture Matte Long Wear Lipstick ($21).

Play with Fire with a Flame-Colored Smokey Eye

Don’t usually go for the bolder shades in your palettes? Fall is the perfect time to experiment with color combos you might have previously shied away from during the summer months. Take a cue from Samu and use leaf-inspired golds and reds to slay PSL season. Create your own fiery look with the Obsessions Eyeshadow Palette ($27) from Huda Beauty.

Win Fall Formal with Soft Mauves

Want to play with fall colors without fully committing to the deeper hues? Dip into dazzling mauves for an understated seasonal look that seamlessly makes the transition from summer to fall. Use the  around with multiple shades to add depth and dimension for a look that’s totally fall formal approved, like Ren did here.

Keep Things Natural with Soft Cinnamon Hues

Let’s face it: the ’90s are back, baby. Play around with your favorite warm-toned browns (or splurge on the new Anastasia Beverly Hills Soft Glam Palette ($42)!) and pair with a cinnamon lip for a look that will scream anything but dated.

Bring Back the Cat Eye with Bold Winged Liner

Winged liner has been having a moment for what seems like forever, but keep things fresh by concentrating the liner on the outer edge to really open up the eye. Pair with rich coppers and a bold red lip (sensing a pattern here?) to elevate your fall beauty routine and go from the coffee shop to class with no change needed in between. We’re fans of the long-lasting Kat Von D Tattoo Liner ($20).
