3 White Clothing Items You’ll Need This Summer

In the throes of summer, it is once again time to get white hot! I love adding white to outfits because it lightens and freshens them up. With the school year finishing, white needs to be at the front of your wardrobe. Of course, I had to go out and buy this summer’s key pieces to add to my collection of white.

1. White tie shirt.

The first piece is from Abercrombie & Fitch. This shirt is so light and casual, and I love it because it is versatile and comfortable to wear. It gives off a beachy look and is so effortless.

This shirt can be styled so many different ways: it can end up being super casual, or it can made into a dressier look by tucking it into a pair of wide leg pants. For this particular outfit, I went for a casual, out-to-run-errands vibe by coupling it with a pair of distressed jeans.

2. White shorts.

Amazingly, I didn’t own any until now. I have a casual distressed pair but as I get older, I figure a nice pair of white shorts could never hurt my wardrobe. These also come from Abercrombie & Fitch.

Often times, cotton shorts are a really awkward length and just all over look funky on me so when I found these, I had to snatch them up. They’re a perfect length in that they’re not too long or too short. This outfit is a more casual take on these shorts with the off-the-shoulder top and fun heels, but pairing it with a blazer over a nice top with more professional heels can turn it into a business style. Again, this particular pair of shorts is very versatile.

3. “Walk through romper.”

The final piece comes from Socialite, available at Nordstrom. This isn’t strictly a white piece, but I have to add it because the style just screams summer to me. Nordstrom calls this a “walk through romper” and I can’t think of a better name.

This romper is flowing and reminds me of being on the beach on vacation in some tropical destination. You can dress this romper up by adding a pair of heels or can keep it casual by adding a pair of flats. Because of the basic color palette of this romper, you can add your own pop of color as I did with the blue necklace and pink lip. You can truly style white any way that you want!
