WHAT TO WEAR: Winter

Getting back into the swing of things in January can get really tough, but starting your morning with some inspiration from your closet is the perfect way to stay motivated through the cold months of a new year. Now that the first (and hopefully the last) snow of the year is over in Clemson, our warmer days are upon us and it’s becoming so much easier to show your style without having to cover it all up! Getting ready in the winter can be so much fun because you can just add as many pieces as you want without the worry of needing to shed layers later.

This Fashionista has on the perfect winter outfit ensemble with a cozy cashmere sweater that she bought a size up so that she could go for an off-the-shoulder look during winter days that are on the warmer side. Staying loyal to the trend of distressed jeans this season, she mixed it up with a pair of destroyed black skinny jeans tucked into some amazing platform booties. They say “what goes around comes around” and this couldn’t be truer with the trends of the ‘70s that have come back in full swing. Not only do these booties incorporate a platform but also their high, skinny ankle will have people thinking she just walked out of a Vogue Fashion Week coverage photo circa 1974. Did someone say ‘70s? This Soho Leather Disco Bag fit perfectly into her outfit and with black being the superior to any color ever, her choice was obvious.

One Simple Change: This outfit incorporated ripped denim, 5” heels, chunky metals and cashmere to soften it all, which is perfect for any winter afternoon. Throw on a leather jacket and toss your hair in a high pony to take this look from daytime glam to a night on the town.
