WHAT TO WEAR: Vacation

Now that the weather is getting warmer and the sun is shining more often, students all across the University of Tennessee campus are excited for spring. One of the best parts of warmer weather is the hope of taking a long weekend and jetting off with some friends to a fabulous location.

When the destination is finally reached, it is essential to have the right vacation outfit in the suitcase. Of course, there should be an assortment of swimsuits, cover-ups, hats and sandals packed, but what should you wear to that fancy restaurant the group made reservations at?

This Fashionisto wears the perfect outfit for a night out on vacation. Since the vacation spot is likely to be hot, a regular suit will be much too warm and stuffy, but a T-shirt and shorts are much too casual. So, this Fashionisto put together something in between. He wears pastel blue pants that are tailored very well so they look classy rather than sloppy. Then, he color-blocks the pants with a mint shirt that has a light white collar that isn’t as stuffy as a regular button-down. To add sharpness to the ensemble, he throws on a khaki-colored jacket that is as refined as a suit jacket, but is much more comfortable for a vacation. As far as accessories go, he pairs black shoes and a black belt that complement the outfit, but do not overpower the ensemble. Since this Fashionisto is the essence of cool, he throws on his Ray-Ban sunglasses to show just that.

Spring has sprung, and there is no better time to experiment with style. This Fashionisto took this to heart, and a vacation outfit has never looked better.

One Simple Change: Going on an interview for a summer internship? You can easily change certain pieces of this vacation outfit to look appropriate for an interview. Just change the mint shirt for a white button-down and lose the khaki-colored jacket. You will look professional, but still show off your personal style with the pastel pants.
