WHAT TO WEAR: Spring

Sunny skies, puffy clouds and warming weather can only mean one thing…spring is in the air, literally. Mississippi has been experiencing the most incredible spring season in my four years at Ole Miss. Usually spring in Mississippi means rain and more rain. This spring has been the exact opposite so far. We have been enjoying endless sunny days with only a few showers in between. Weather like this has all students excited to head outdoors and soak up the gorgeous weather before leaving for summer break.

I caught this Fashionista as she was leaving campus because I fell in love with her fun floral pants. Her outfit screamed spring and I quickly asked her all about it. She expressed with excitement that she could not wait to pull these bright colorful jeans out of her closet and when the weather finally warmed up. She said she jumped on the opportunity to wear this outfit around campus. The Fashionista was giving a presentation in class and she immediately knew that these pants would be prefect for this occasion.

In my opinion, spring style is all about wearing lots of color with brilliant patterns in any type of clothing whether in shorts, tops, jackets or dresses. This Fashionista is wearing her vivid pants with a white sheer tank top and a white bralette. Her simple jewelry and her silver Tory Burch flats complete the look. This outfit is great for spring because the Fashionista is rocking the look with confidence and flare.

One Simple Change: To transform this look into an awesome outfit for meeting parents for a lunch during Parents Weekend I would add a lightweight cardigan with a pop of color that accentuates one of the colors from the pants and trade the flats for classic brown wedges.
