WHAT TO WEAR: Internship

With the semester coming to a close many of us are starting to think about our plans for the summer. Whether you’ll be graduating in May or if you’ll be returning to campus in the fall we all have the same goal in mind: landing that internship. Interviewing can be a very stressful time and even worse, once you finally get the position, the first week can be scary and intimidating. However, if you have the right outfit to keep you polished and professional looking without jeopardizing fashion, it can make you feel confident and ready to tackle any task at hand.

This Fashionista nailed her business casual interview look. She wore a super trendy straight leg cropped slack in a fun houndstooth pattern to keep things interesting and paired them with a sleek nude heel, which balance each other out. The nude color will also elongate the leg. The pink blouse adds a pop of color to the outfit. The Fashionista also added simple, polished accessories for a dainty touch; as well as a black Longchamp bag which is super functional for a day in the office or running to and from interviews because it can carry a ton of stuff while still looking sleek and professional.

One Simple Change: One way that you could take this outfit up a notch would be to transform it from the office to a nighttime outfit after work. By simply exchanging the heels to a trendy strappy sandal and swapping out the blouse for a black tank top you can take this outfit from business casual to a more relaxed look for dinner or a night out after hours with co-workers.
