WHAT TO WEAR: Date Night

Valentine’s Day just passed, and although I spent this year celebrating galantine’s day, that doesn’t mean I didn’t get excited about my friend going all the way to Atlanta for a dinner with her boyfriend. Her outfit was on point, and I couldn’t help but share her style with the CollegeFashionista community.

This Fashionista is opting for the classic look—red and black. Black can sometimes be boring and overbearing since it is such a dark color and is associated with sadness in our society. However, Alissa opted for a dress decked out with lace long sleeves, which added the perfect touch of lightness and femininity.

Her necklace is a statement piece which livens up the neckline and makes the cotton fabric a little more dressy.

Her booties are consistent with the all black theme; they keep it classy, while at the same time have a nice pop of gold embellishment, which pair perfectly with her gold hoops and her statement necklace.

Side note: her lipstick and necklace match perfectly… Alissa suggests layering colors if you’ve got a shade that is just slightly off from what you need. Layering a clear or nude lipgloss over your final coat will also give it a good shine to distract if the shade is slightly off.

Date nights are always fun nights; whether with your significant other or best girlfriends, don’t pass up the opportunity to dress up and get out on the town for a night of good food, fun, and great style.
