WHAT TO WEAR: Cold Weather

All too often Fashionistas and Fashionistos sacrifice their style to brace the cold winter months. Our favorite pair of jeans are replaced by sweatpants and our beloved tops become buried under layers upon layers to brave those long walks across campus in the freezing cold. This Fashionista shows us that there is no need to skip out on style on those cold winter days.

As the first snowfall of season touched down in New York City, this Fashionista braved the cold in this cozy, stylish ensemble. Oversized clothing is a trend that is dominating this winter season. Though it is a simple piece, her nude oversized coat serves as the perfect base to layer her oversized scarf. This Fashionista’s scarf not only adds warmth, but a great pop of color as well. The teal pattern and fringe detailing on the scarf makes the look all the cozier. She opted for a pair of charcoal cable knit leggings that adds a hint of texture to the look.

As many of you Fashionistas can attest, comfort and mobility is key when it comes to footwear in the winter. This Fashionista kept it simple with a pair of tan, fur top boots making it easier to get around in the snowy weather. To complete the look, she accessorized with a classic black fedora hat and this adorable black cross-body bag with white bows and gold hardware detailing.

One Simple Change: This Fashionista’s outfit is perfect for a quick lunch date or a day of classes, but if you’re heading out for a night on the town, opt for a pair of thick heeled booties to dress up the look.
