8 a.m. classes can become the bane of a student’s existence and especially so for fashion students. We all love to dress up and do our hair, but at five in the morning? Some of us are less enthusiastic at the prospect.
If you are like me, you will hit the snooze button once or four times before you actually get up. When you do finally wake up, you realize you don’t have much time left to get to class in time. What do you wear? How about whatever you can find first, but throw a nice coat over it and you will still look great! Since it’s winter, very few people will see what you are wearing underneath all your outer layers anyway.
This Fashionisto knows exactly how to rock a very simple look that is effortless, clean, and well-put together. The main item? The oversized coat in beige. The neutral colour is great for pairing it with almost anything, and the extra room means you can fit bulky hoodies or sweaters right underneath it. What I also like about it is that it can be worn by boys, girls and everyone else in between because it is such a versatile piece.
What I also like about this Fashionisto’s outfit is how light the colours are. He wears a white hoodie underneath the jacket (and has light pink hair!), and one of the shoe laces on his sneakers are pink. Most of us would choose to wear darker colours, which can get quite depressing to see all the time. Next time, follow this Fashionisto’s example and let a little colour brighten your day! One Simple Change: Though this coat is great for hiding your outfit if you didn’t have time to put something decent on, you could take it out for a night in town. For milder days, you can wear it over a t-shirt and trousers (or skirt) and roll up the sleeves for a more casual look.
