WHAT TO WEAR: Class

Here’s the thing about fashion: while there are rules, they are almost all breakable if you bend them the right way. This Fashionista did exactly that. While stripes and plaid never go together, she found a way to do make them. Incorporating the small backpack is convenient for holding her laptop and notebooks and it also adds a little spunk to her outfit. This Fashionista also perfects the heel and pant combo. A lot of people struggle with this but obviously she does not. Do you stack, roll or just let them hang? Cuffing them right above the black heel strap and showing a little ankle conquered the complex pant-shoe relationship. The denim skinnies, lace scarf, flowy sleeves, circular sunnies and red lip (although minuscule additions) play a big role in this Fashionista’s simple but cute outfit. The lace scarf introduces texture to this outfit and adds subtle pattern. A tight striped T-shirt could’ve easily been worn with this; however the flowy sleeves boost relaxation and comfort. The circular sunglasses are in style this season! They’re summer shades that won’t have you spending the family fortune but will have you looking like a million bucks! Lastly, the red lip look is classic. It’s more than just a color on the mouth, it’s a universal statement screaming ‘strong independent woman.’

School is difficult to dress up for but when it’s fall and you’ve got plans after class, it’s becomes easy. Follow this Fashionista’s lead and add ‘break fashion rules’ to your to-do list this semester!

With that blue color of stripes, I would’ve gone with black skinnies. Or changed into a red and white striped shirt to match the classy red lip. Follow your instinct on color coordination!
