STYLE GURU STYLE: Poncho Obsessed

The Missoni runway show this semester was beautiful! They kept the classic Missoni look, but definitely kept it updated and fresh. I love how comfortable, yet stylish Missoni is and their latest show is what inspired this outfit.

In their ready-to-wear fall 2016 collection, they kept some looks neutral and others bright and colorful. I don’t know how they do it, but Missoni is able to make sweaters, hats and scarves into chic, sexy looks. I love how the first half of the collection is more wintery and bulky, while the second half is sleek and slinky with tighter more fitted pieces that accentuate the female body.

Although it seems like I’m dressing trendy and cool, I’m basically getting away with wearing a blanket. The poncho look is seen in the show, but I also drew on the neutral knits portion for this look. I don’t think you can ever go wrong with black and white which is why I gravitate more toward items in those colors. I’ve worn this poncho with sneakers to the airport or with over-the-knee suede boots in this outfit to dress it up. The poncho and cross-body are both from Zara and I paired them with lululemon leggings, over-the-knee suede boots from Target, (which are great for the Stuart Weitzman Lowland boots) and my favorite sunglasses from Dior.

I highly recommend getting a versatile poncho to add to your closet, they work in a variety of looks from casual to dressy and are extremely comfortable. My other favorite part is my boots. I’ve been obsessed with the Stuart Weitzman ones so when I found these I knew they would be perfect to dress up leggings or wear in the winter with a dress.

Get My Look: 1. Any neutral poncho. 2. Over-the-knee boots. 3. Your favorite leggings. 4. Fun sunglasses. 5. Round cross-body.
