STYLE GURU BIO: Lalana Khwakhong

As a little girl, I loved to play dress up with my Barbie dolls, and even played around with my mama’s clothes in the closet. I loved to mix and match all of the clothes that would go together. So I figured out that fashion is what I love, and it is what makes me happy.

I was born in the family that works in the photography business. My dad was a photographer and my mom was a hair dresser. Sometimes when my dad worked on a fashion shoot, I went  to the set and play around with the dresser. Moreover, I love to go to my mom’s closet and played dress up with myself. Whenever my mom told me “we are going shopping,” I got super excited. That is just because I would actually go to all of the clothing stores, and get to try on many different clothes. I became passionate about fashion, and it’s now part of my life. I shared my style throughout social media, so people can see the real me. Most of the style that you will see is casual and comfortable and more importantly, affordable. My clothes are usually easy to mix and match, and are street style-inspired. Because what I wear represents who I am. I always drawn to what people are wearing, and it makes me interested in the reasons behind their choices. People have different style according to what they love, and that truly shows who they are.

I am now a marketing student at Roosevelet University. I am hoping that once I get my degree in marketing, I can get a marketing job in the fashion industry. I will always love and have a passion for fashion, no matter how old I get. I’m still be a little girl that like to play dress up in her closet.
