STYLE GURU BIO: Halle Olson

I have finally returned to the US from a semester-long study abroad trip in England. While I loved drinking tea every day and traveling around Europe, I’m happy to be back in America to finish up the last half of my junior year.

I’m a student at North Central College in Naperville, IL., majoring in both journalism and interactive media studies: convergent media. On top of my two majors, I’m on the track team, an editor for the school newspaper, a member of concert choir, and the vice president of social media for North Central College’s public relations student society. Oh, and I’m a Style Guru, editorial intern, and a member of the Social Media Society here at CollegeFashionista. When I have some free time (which is basically never), I love to scroll endlessly through Instagram for #OOTD inspiration, read books about anyone and everyone in the fashion industry—my favorite so far has been The Beautiful Fall by Alicia Drake—and eat an excessive amount of rolls at Texas Roadhouse.

To disguise all the rolls that I eat, I typically wear an all-black uniform, although this white fluffy coat has been my new obsession the last few weeks. Some of my other recent essentials have been silky tank tops, cropped trousers, and anything velvet. I love to accessorize my monochromatic looks with a killer bag and my Ray-Ban “Erika” sunglasses.

It’s now been a full year that I’ve been a Style Guru with CollegeFashionista and I couldn’t be more excited with what this semester holds. I can’t wait to see what #RAD outfits my fellow classmates come up with this semester!
