Aloha! My name is Erica. Currently, I am a freshman studying business management at University of Hawaii at West Oahu. This is my first semester writing for CollegeFashionista and I am so excited to be a part of the Guru Gang! I love fashion. Designing, putting together outfits, and learning how to sew were always my favorite activities to do even as a child. In addition to my love for fashion, I also love art and traveling.
My style reflects on where I am from. Being raised in Hawaii lead me to appreciating the beauty of Hawaii’s nature and I sometimes incorporate that into a lot of my outfits and photos. I love flowers. I own a lot of floral pieces which you will see as we approach spring. Because Hawaii is such a relaxed environment, it influenced me to feel comfortable in what I wear and to keep things simple. I feel that it is important to feel comfortable in what we wear because it helps to boost our confidence!
For this look, I took a black off-the-shoulder long sleeved top and paired it with a pair of black leggings. To dress this look up a little, I wore a diamond necklace that was given to me as a gift and wore a pair of purple sparkly flat sandals (because what girl doesn’t love sparkle!) To tie the whole look together, I picked a beautiful orchid from my garden and used it as a hair accessory.
