STYLE GURU BIO: Elizabeth Morabito

Hello all! My name is Elizabeth Morabito and I am very excited to be a Style Guru with CollegeFashionista. I am currently a junior Communication major, with minors in Sociology and Business, at SUNY Geneseo in upstate New York. I am a lover of cats and actually spent last summer interning for the humane society in my area!

Some of my favorite things include social media, interesting mugs, oversized sweaters, lipstick, candles, musicals, magazines and gluten-free pizza. When I am not doing homework, I like to take breaks by watching YouTubers, reading or listening to music.

Fashion and clothing has always been one of my greatest passions. My mother loves to talk about how even as a baby I would insist on picking out my own outfits. I clearly had strong opinions about clothes even at a young age. Throughout my teens, I experimented quite a bit with fashion and made some questionable choices (skirt over jeans- just no). I have always viewed clothes as not only a form of expression, but as a crucial way to communicate with others. People pick their clothes and put together an outfit for a reason. This sends a message to others and communicates a bit about them as an individual. Simply put, clothes have always interested me!

This is probably why I spend an embarrassing amount of time planning different outfits and daydreaming about what I should wear during the week. I am the person that will change their outfit multiple times a day because I keep changing my mind! I shop in basically every store but stick almost entirely to clearance racks. I am always in search of a good deal and enjoy waiting for items to get marked down before buying. Some of my current favorite places to shop include Target, Gap, ASOS and Goodwill. My wardrobe is a collection, built over years, including many different brands.

My style varies on a day-to-day basis and I am a big believer in dressing to fit your mood. However, my absolute essentials are a pair of black jeans, casual T-shirt, denim thrown over top and a scarf to pull it all together. For fashion inspiration, I always look to magazines like Teen Vogue and Marie Claire. I also follow bloggers such as Nicole Loher, Rhiannon Ashlee, Sara Zucker and Carly A. Heitlinger. They are all hard-working women that act as inspiration to me in many ways.

I am so happy to be part of the CollegeFashionista team and I can tell this will be an amazing semester! I hope to offer insight into campus trends and feature some of my incredible peers. I am truly looking forward to sharing the latest looks of SUNY Geneseo students!
