STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Bo Peep Found Her Sheep

For months now, I have been going crazy over this shearling fad. Sheep-inspired anything will never cease to make me smile. From Isabel Marant to Burberry Prorsum, the fall 2014 shows were loaded with both fluffy, long-haired sheepskins and shearlings. You just can’t resist the fluff, you know what I mean?

I certainly do not contest it, except for the “fluff cuff in every color” trend from the That’s So Raven era. I have been a die-hard fan of that show since day one, but I will never advocate or support this trend. There are definitely better/alternative ways to incorporate bold colors and fluffs. If we’re playing it safe, I would recommend a bold lip and stick with a neutral shearling coat. If you’re on the daring side, try a completely orange sheepskin coat balanced by some understated makeup.

Here, I am particularly obsessed with this Fashionista’s oversized knit shearling coat. If I were her, I would never take it off. It incorporates sheep without being too overwhelming. Alongside the coat, she accessorizes with a cream knit hat, camel  riding boots, green flash aviators and a matching braided tassel scarf. Beneath all of this, she wears a sheer knit top and skinny jeans. This outfit surely is perfect for a casual weekend stroll in the park.

Little Bo Peep may have had lost her sheep, but they always find their way back in the end!
