It’s time to break out of those winter blues; spring has sprung. That means color is back. All of the bold, bright hues we love can make their way back into the front of our closets, and also reappear in our makeup pallets. Personally, I use color as the basis for my spring wardrobe, and I always try and find colorful makeup trends to accent my bright clothing. My favorite way to add color to any fresh face is with a bright pink lipstick.
Wearing bright lipstick is one of the hottest trends for spring, on and off the runway. Whether matte or glossy, this makeup trend is a super fun way to brighten up your wardrobe, and break into warmer weather. The pink lip is great for nights when you want to add a little pop to your look, but don’t want to put in too much effort. Just swipe on your favorite shade, and even with minimal eye and face makeup, you will still be a showstopper. This Fashionista chose to break up her sporty-chic grayscale outfit by putting her matte lip crayon to work. It’s a great way to add some femininity to an otherwise utilitarian look.
What’s on the BEAUTY BAR: For this trend, you can start with either a matte or glossy lipstick in the shade of your choice. If you choose to go matte, I would recommend stashing a light lip gloss in your purse if you feel that your color is fading. That way, you can always have your lips looking nice and bright!
