STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Fall Fashion In Not So Fall Weather

The temperature is dropping, the leaves are slowly falling from the trees and pumpkin patches and haunted houses are opening. That is a clear sign that it is becoming fall. However, over here in Southern California it is just another perfect day to go to the beach because the weather is still hitting high 70s. Moving to San Diego from Chicago has really challenged my fall fashion. How am I supposed to wear sweaters in this San Diego weather? How am I supposed to walk to class in jeans and a long sleeve blouse without dripping in sweat? But eventually a Fashionista must be able to adjust to her environment and work with what she’s got.

Southern California weather can be a bit challenging because of how much the temperature changes throughout the day. For the early birds, the temperature could be as low as 60 degrees, but once it hits noon it has suddenly reached a warm 80 degrees. This Fashionista was able to pull off an outfit just right for this unpredictable weather. For a causal day for classes she is able to wear this simple, gray fitted dress paired with her Superstar adidas and a distressed jean jacket. The jean jacket is perfect so that she is not affected by the chilly morning air, yet it keeps her cool enough once the thermometer starts to rise. The jean jacket can also be tied around her waist during the warm afternoons. This outfit is just comfortable enough for the heat and when it gets cooler.
