PR & Content Coordinator

The PR & Content Coordinator for Luxury Brand Partners supports the team across all functions, including public relations, artist and influencer relations and content development for all brands and corporate initiatives. The job encompasses relationship building, social media skills, event management, writing and general administrative departmental support. Brands include Oribe Hair Care, R+Co, V76, Smith & Cult, IGK, Pulp Riot.

Responsibilities:

  • Help support the Editorial Stylist Program to raise brand awareness among key players in the industry
  • Monitor artist and influencer digital platforms daily to identify social credits
  • Provide support with press requests, press events, red carpet opportunities and photo shoots as needed
  • Staff and assist with NYFW shows each season
  • Help write copy/articles/press releases for a variety of mediums (web, press, corporate)
  • Manage product mailings to editors, influencers and artists
  • Maintain PR samples and closet
  • Manage press and awards trackers, clips and coverage reports
  • Collaborate with internal departments including Marketing, PD, Sales, Education, Operations and Finance
  • Attend brand events, such as press events, fashion shows, trade shows and educational workshops (nights and weekends may be required)
  • Stay in the know on all competitor news and beauty / fashion related information

 

Requirements:

  • 1-3 years experience in a public relations or communications role
  • Digitally savvy – strong knowledge of social media a must
  • Passionate and knowledgeable about beauty, fashion and luxury goods
  • Strong writing and interpersonal skills
  • Strong work ethic and a can-do attitude
  • Proven problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Great team player
  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills
  • Proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Bachelor’s Degree (major in Communications and/or Journalism preferred)

 

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Help manage intern, outside vendors and agencies for various projects

 

Physical Demands:

  • Lifting: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
  • Reaching: Extending hands and arms in any direction.
  • Sitting: Must be able to remain in the seated, stationary position throughout work day.
