Public Relations Internship

The Hive Showroom, one of the leading multi-line showrooms in the industry, is looking for interns for their public relations department available to start August 1, 2017.

Interns will learn the daily tasks of fashion PR including sample trafficking, press release writing, sample organization and distribution, as well as other press and administrative activities. The internship can potentially result into full time employment at entry level.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain existing editorial relationships and research new media outlets
  • Pitch and place feature stories through finding specific needs of brands
  • Manage sample trafficking
  • Track brand exposure and media alerts on a daily basis
  • Social media research and postings on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook
  • Work closely with sales team to develop strategy for specific brand placements

    Requirements:

  • Positive attitude
  • Knowledge about the industry + an eagerness to learn more
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint
  • Available a minimum of 3-5 days/week
  • Strong communication and organizational skills required
  • High interest in the fashion industry
  • Previous experience in public relations preferred
  • Impeccable attention to detail and respect for deadlines
  • Detail-oriented and ability to multi-task

    This internship begins August 1, 2017 and 4 month minimum is preferred. Intern is welcome to continue after 4 month minimum is up in December.
