3 Pairs of Boots Every Fashion Girl Needs for Fall

It is no secret that fall has become known for pumpkin spice lattes, cozy sweaters, and, most importantly, boots! While it’s more than acceptable to wear boots at all times of the year, they seem more abundant from September to February. However, it might not seem practical to sport what’s trending this season while walking from class to class each day. Lucky for you, I’m here to tell you how to rock the three essential boots that you’ll not just want, but need in your closet this autumn.

short ankle bootie

Want to look like a model off duty in your ripped jean shorts and an oversize sweatshirt? Swap your Adidas Stan Smiths for a pair of low-heeled ankle-booties, leather or suede. Detailed booties can instantly make a comfy outfit styled by one of Hollywood’s top stylists. Therefore, ankle-booties will be your new best friend this season. From simple suede to detailed prints, these shoes typically have a low heel. Also, wearing booties appears as though you put way more effort into your outfit than tossing on a pair of gym shoes.

mid-calf heeled boots

Mid-calf heeled boots are one of the hottest trends in fashion right now. They instantly add a flare of runway style to a shorter dress or cuffed boyfriend jeans look. These heels tend to be supportive, making them easier to wear for longer periods of time than your traditional kitten heel. If you’re feeling bold, or if you’re like me and like to wear heels just because, then a pair of tight, chunky heeled boots are a perfect way to add a touch of maturity to your fall ensembles.

over-the-knee zip-ups

An over-the-knee boot is an effortlessly stylish touch to almost any outfit. From oversize T-shirts to long sleeve dresses to jeans and a jacket, over-the-knee shoes add a nice touch to almost every outfit, not to mention they instantly slim and elongate your legs. Additionally, they don’t need a heel to be in style! In fact, black over-the-knee boots without a heel can be seen on most celebrities as the months get colder. Grab your comfiest XL sweater and a pair of OTKB to make it look like you spent more than two minutes getting dressed. Your outfit will be in style and, you’ll stay warm and comfy in class.

Pro tip: Fall is the season of boots, furs, and natural colors. I encourage you to push the beyond standards and grab a pair of shiny, faux leather over-the-knee boots, a textured, jean colored pair of mid-calf boots, or a set of boldly printed ankle-booties to add easy, iconic touches to each of your fall outfits. And remember, never buy a pair of boots without trying to walk a couple yards in them first!
