All the Trends I’m Tempted to Try This Summer Because of Our Community

I’ve never really been someone whose style was driven by trends. Save for an intense three-year Abercrombie phase in middle school, I’ve always stuck to the classics when it comes to clothes. Honestly, if I had to wear only a white button-down and jeans for the rest of my life, I’d be perfectly content. But for some reason, the trends the College Fashionista community is wearing this season have me shook—and I’m dying to try them all.

Honestly, how could I not be? When you’re presented with a straw beret and perfect square toe heels while scrolling through Instagram, you can’t exactly just ignore them. Which is exactly why I have decided to forget my all-classic-everything mantra for summer and embrace our community’s favorite trends wholeheartedly. And when you see how well they wear them, you won’t blame me.

Ahead, I’ve compiled all the Instagram posts from our College Fashionista community that have inspired me to add these trends to my cart—plus how you can shop them, too.

Gingham Two-Pieces

Honestly, I’ve always been a little iffy on the gingham trend (sorry, prints are hard for me). But this perfect two-piece takes the guesswork out of styling busy patterns and gives off just the right amount of picnic vibes to make me want to live in it for the rest of summer.

Net Tote Bags

I’m still not convinced these will actually hold anything, but there’s just something so carefree about carrying your stuff around in a bag with a bunch of huge holes.
