Hey Fashionistas/os! My name is Jordan Heffren and I am a junior at Penn State University’s main campus. I am a broadcast journalism major with a minor in entrepreneurship and I am also involved in Greek life.
I have loved fashion ever since I was young and am so excited to have been chosen to be a part of the Style Guru team!
When I was little, my Nana taught me how to knit and sew, so I’ve been making my own clothes from a young age. I can remember when I was eight years old turning one of my favorite one-piece bathing suits into a bikini after I got too tall for it. If I can’t find something I’m looking for in stores, I can usually figure out how to make it on my own.
When it comes to my personal style, I like to mix things up from day to day depending on how I’m feeling. My wardrobe is pretty eclectic with a mixture of both girly and grunge pieces. I get majority of my outfit inspiration from Pinterest and fashion bloggers like Arielle Noa Charnas from SomethingNavy.
In this look, I am wearing a long sleeved t-shirt dress and a pair of fringed over-the-knee boots from DSW. I wore some simple gold bracelets, my favorite Michael Kors watch and an engraved bar necklace from Etsy.
I think the key to pulling off any outfit is confidence. At the end of the day, it doesn’t matter what you’re wearing as long as you feel good in it.
