This month I’m giving my take on over-the-knee boots. Over-the-knee boots are a great transitional piece from winter to spring when it is still a little bit chilly. By pairing them with dresses, skirts, or shorts it allows you to show a little bit of skin while still keeping your legs covered. You can also wear them with jeans, in the winter for a warmer look. They instantly pull together any outfit and makes it look like you tried a lot harder than you actually did.
This time, the look I put together is just slightly more dressed up, featuring a pink velvet top, flowy shorts, and an oversize cardigan. I opted for a black pair of boots, although gray is also a popular alternative that pairs well with most outfits and color schemes. As a student and someone who walks a lot, the flat style was a better option for me. However, I feel that heeled boots would pull together a dressier outfit. I also feel that suede is an easy way to take the over-the-knee boot trend and make it more wearable and casual. I have seen alternative materials used such as leather, but the material of the boots can change the whole vibe of an outfit. Finally, to accessorize, I layered on a few gold chokers and just like that, this simple outfit is complete. There are many affordable pairs of over-the-knee boots on the market and I hope this post has inspired you too get a pair yourself!
