Walking, walking and MORE walking. That's all that seems to get done on the UT campus. But, thankfully we are blessed with luncheon functions, nights out on the town and shopping escapades to dress up for. And by up, I mean UP. One of the best things (and sometimes the worst) about being a woman is the ability to wear sky high heels. We gain a few inches in height, but we also sometimes gain a few blisters. Beauty is pain, right? This Fashionista knew what she was doing when she selected a nude shoe for her outift.
One of the top ten items every CollegeFashionista should have in her closet should be a pair of these nude pumps. Even though we college students may sadly have a limited closet space, you must reserve a spot for a neutral shoe! When we pick out looks from our closets, questions always arise like, “Is this too matchy-matchy?” Solve that dilemma with a color-neutral shoe! The nude color of the pumps will literally match anything and everything without any question. Pair them with a colorful pant, like the Fashionista above did, or show some leg with a printed skirt or dress.
Keeping your heels the same color as your legs, be it your skin tone or the color of your tights/pants, elongates your legs even more! If the height of the heels didn't do the trick, the monochrome scheme down your legs definitely will. To add a little more sass to this trick, try a pointed-toe version by Sam Edelman. If you're more of an earthy-granola type, suede heels may be a better choice for you, especially in the coming fall/winter seasons. This pair from J.Crew will suit any suit, or dress or pant! The versatility of a pair of nude colored heels is so grand, there is no other shoe I could recommend more. Give your next outfit a lift with nude heels!
Spotted: JUST last week, Lanvin sent out some of the suited-up models in sky high nude stilettos for the Spring 2013 show.
