Bikini season has come and gone, but that doesn’t mean we can slack off on our workout regimen. College life isn’t exactly conducive to dieting. From bad dorm food, late night snacking and those weekend food binges, staying in shape is tough. But, going to a Big 10 school that prides itself on athletics makes it a little easier. Thankfully, MSU has amazing workout facilities and club sports to help keep the whole student body in shape. And when I spotted this Fashionista on her way to her afternoon yoga class I knew she nailed it!
This Fashionista definitely knows how to rock her workout gear. Dressed head-to-toe in spandex with splashes of neon, this Fashionista is the epitome of workout-chic. Not only is her style practical for the gym, but it’s flattering and cute. This looks makes it easy to sweat in style.
To mimic her look and be the best dressed person in your yoga class, start with a pair of basic leggings. I always suggest a dark color because it helps hide your imperfections and those unsightly sweat marks. Next, look for a bright tank to add a splash of color to your look. In addition to being cute, make sure your top is comfortable and supportive. Finally, the staple to any exercise outfit: sneakers! This Fashionista went bright with a pair of electric blue Nike Revolutions. Don’t be afraid to be a little bold with your sneaker choice!
The gym or your morning yoga class isn’t exactly the best place to showcase your personal style. But, with a few bright colors or some personal touches, you can shine (not from sweating)! Workout gear no longer means basketball shorts and a ratty, old T-shirt. Don’t be afraid to take a little risk and break out your brightest and boldest gym pieces!
One Simple Change: This look is great for working out, but what happens when you can only fit in your workout before class? To make this look lecture-ready, add a knitted sweater to throw over your tank. By adding one simple piece, your look can easily be worn to class before you hit the gym!
