What to Wear

While not everyone can have Miranda Kerr’s or Candice Swanepoel’s amazingly-toned and magically sun-kissed supermodel bodies, it is important for each Fashionista/o to maintain a healthy and active lifestyle. If you feel good about your own body image, you’ll exude confidence. You don’t have to go to the gym dressed in plain, drab matching top-and-bottom tracksuits or old cut-up summer camp T-shirts. Who says you can’t look fashionable while working out? The gym is another perfect place for you to flaunt your impeccable taste.

I found this Fashionista on her morning run around the neighborhood. Take note, this Fashionista picked an article of clothing, in this case, the black-and-white horizontally-striped yoga pants from lululemon, and carefully built her outfit around this piece. She didn’t go overboard with trying to match the eccentricity of the pants. A perfect balance of casual, chic and sporty. Completely different from your ordinary workout gear. She matched her aqua sports bra with her aqua running shoes (a little matching never hurts) and paired it with a clean and slimming black tank-top. You can grab some really cute sports bras from Target or Nike. The thinner tank top straps help with the appearance of slimmer neckline as well as slimmer upper arms. The North Face Oso jacket’s extra fleece keeps her warm on those windy and/or rainy mornings. The aviators add a little extra stylish flare.

ONE SIMPLE CHANGE: Switch out the running shoes for a pair of black leather Converse and underneath, wear a black lace bralette instead of a sports bra (ex: 1, 2, 3). This is a perfect outfit for running errands or perhaps crashing a study group with some colleagues.
