Finals are over, break is finally here and all you have to worry about is securing that special spot on the couch for the next four weeks. And while lounging around in your sweatpants, fuzzy socks and oversized hoodie is tempting, it’s not the least bit flattering. I mean sure, if you’re chilling in your house all day it’s perfect! But if you plan to venture out into town and risk a possible run in with some old high school classmates you might want to reevaluate your choice of apparel. But don’t freak out because this Fashionista nailed an outfit that’s basically loungewear in disguise.
This Fashionista chose to base her entire outfit solely around her jeggings (half legging, half jean… a blessing in itself). With the daring pop of color, a dark purple jewel tone perfect for winter, a spectator’s eye dives directly for them! Because her jeggings were such a bold color she was able to keep the rest of her outfit neutral. A charcoal gray three-quarter length tee was a great option to keep the focus on her pants. The deep charcoal pulls at the purple making it pop even more.
Accessory-wise, this Fashionista, to no surprise, chose a thick infinity scarf in dark blue. This color meshed well with the charcoal gray keeping the upper half of her outfit cohesive. Finishing her outfit with lace up combat boots added an edgy feel to the ensemble. The gray lining on the inside of her boots pulls at the charcoal gray shirt, making the outfit tie together literally from head to toe.
One Simple Change: Love the coziness of this outfit enough to wear it while running errands? Just add a small jacket and a cross-body satchel. A jacket will ensure extra warmth while running in and out of stores and the cross-body will allow you to stay hands free!
