San Francisco is notorious for having ice cold weather. But even in the coldest weather we still find ways look our best without looking too bundled up.
Forget the hundreds of layers and UGG boots. Your outfit shouldn’t reflect the dull weather. Instead, think of the cold weather as an opportunity to get creative with your outfits. From studded beanies, graphic print sweaters and patterned scarves, there are numerous ways to stay warm and stylish. It’s all a matter of choosing the right outfits.
During cloudy or gray weather, make a statement like this Fashionista by wearing a bright colored coat. Her coat helps add a pop of color to her mostly gray scale outfit. I liked how she opted for a different style of boots rather than the typical leather ones. Her strappy boots made for the perfect rocker accent and created an edgy look.
What I loved most about this Fashionista’s outfit was her lace collar. Wearing a collared shirt works with pretty much anything. Whether you’re wearing overalls, a skirt or denim shorts, collars could give any outfit that extra “it factor.” Not only are they are always on trend, but they also add a bit of femininity to your outfit.
One Simple Change: To make this look more appropriate for an interview, swap the coat for something less flashy. Instead find a solid colored trench coat. This particular outfit would work well with a light grey trench coat and gold accessories. To keep it looking professional, lose the boots and wear a pair of red pumps.
