WHAT TO WEAR: Winter

Hey Fashionistas/os, I hope you are enjoying your winter break so far! It has been a strangely warm winter (I’m not complaining but the polar bears sure are), which has made it tough to find street style that doesn’t categorize as more of a fall look. After searching for an outfit to feature in my next article, I finally spotted a Fashionista sporting a winter look that will inspire you to get up earlier and actually put on a real outfit for your early class. Say bye to basic leggings and fleece jackets, and say hello to a chic mix of leather, denim and snow boots! Yes, you read that right, snow boots.

If you haven’t already noticed, many companies (Prada included) are making very stylish renditions of snow and rain boots. Some of them don’t even look like they should be worn in the rain or snow! These are perfect for walking across campus in any sort of inclement weather, while still looking stylish. The Fashionista pictured above proves how fashionable BCBGeneration coat, a Madewell turtleneck sweater and jeans that have leather detail. Her look may be monochromatic, but the textures work well together and make for some awesome details that break up the black. Another great part about her look is that it still looks great without the coat.

So, stop ruining your leather boots or sneakers when walking to class in inclement weather! There’s plenty of cute boots for sale that can handle the winter weather and still look trendy with your outfit.

One Simple Change: If you have a time crunch between your last classes and meeting your friends out on the town, Switch out the snow boots for some cute animal print booties and you’re all ready to go.
