WHAT TO WEAR: Winter

The Wisconsin winter is finally here! Coming in full blast, we’ve seen freezing temperatures, glittery snow flakes and plenty of Canada Goose, Sorel and UGG outer gear. I’ve had enough hot chai lattes to fill Lake Mendota, so good thing it is frozen right now! Despite my wanting to wear eighty layers and a sleeping bag to class, plenty of students are rocking killer looks in the winter weather.

This Fashionista is bringing fabulous feminine style to campus, while still staying warm! She is wearing a pink graphic T-shirt layered with a thick camel cardigan. Underneath her midi black skirt, she perfectly layers a pair of olive green tights, keeping her legs safe from the cold.  The length of her skirt was a great choice for the winter weather, allowing her to show off layers without them being hidden beneath the skirt completely. Her black booties and silver necklace add an edgy and elegant touch to the outfit.

I am in love with her color combination of pink, camel, olive and black. It’s fresh, innovative and it pops in the white of winter! This Fashionista’s outfit is the perfect balance between functional, feminine and fabulous.  It’s definitely a show stopper anywhere she goes.

One Simple Change: As spring comes into the picture, this outfit can transition with ease! By replacing the midi skirt for a mini skirt and the thick cardigan for a flowing kimono, you’ve got a fantastic spring outfit! You could even exchange the booties for wedges to add another feminine element to the look.
