WHAT TO WEAR: Winter

Winter is the season that we all look forward to, yet sometimes dread. Filled with chilly temperatures and warm drinks, this season is where fellow Fashionistas/os bring out their most cozy outfits. Vests, boots, coats and more is what is usually in store.

Freezing temperatures sure did not stop this Fashionisto from being the best dressed. I spotted this preppy, yet cool look and could not pass it up. The colorful patterns in this long button-down bring a pop of color to the navy palette and light khakis centered around this look. This outfit is perfect for winter because it is just the right mix of cool colors that complement the winter weather nicely. Adding any type of vest over a button-up is one easy way to stay warm in the coolness of winter, while still keeping your look simple.

Instead of wearing boots, this Fashionisto braved the snow and went with a more sophisticated tan loafer to tie the whole look together. When you are going for a specific style, it is nice to take some risks to let your outfit be the best possible! Also, keeping some sunglasses on hand is a necessity when the sun is beaming and the snow is melting. Slick, black Ray-Bans was the choice of this Fashionisto. These added the perfect touch of sharpness to the overall appearance, creating the ideal winter weather ensemble.

One Simple Change: To take this look from winter to spring, lose the vest and roll up the cuffed sleeves of the button-up. Instead of khaki pants, switch to shorts due to the emerging warmer temperatures. For footwear, make the look more casual by wearing Sperry Top-Siders instead of the more dressy loafers. Now you have the perfect seasonal transition outfit!
