WHAT TO WEAR: Welcome Week

What to Wear

Many of us are heading back to school. For me, that means my last first day of school ever! Whether your welcome week is over or you are just arriving for it in the next few days, dressing for that first day of school is an incredibly daunting task. If there’s one thing that fashion has taught me is that fashion is a direct outlet to express yourself. Take this Fashionista for example: she had some help with some recent designers expressing their love for cartoons (The Blonds with Tweety Bird, Givenchy with their must-have Bambi sweatshirt, etc.), she chose to wear one of her favorite characters in a cropped sweater to express her own. So go ahead and express yourself on the first day of classes, show the world who you are!

And yes people! The crop tops are back for yet another season! And from what I can tell from the crop top loving Fashionistas around me, they’re still excited. They are still coming in all shapes and sizes, but I love the graphics, just like this Fashionista and her Mickey designed crop top sweater.

A piece that is just so easy to work with is a high waisted skirt. I love that this Fashionista paired her top with a free flowing black mini skirt! But I will give you all a fair warning: STAY AWAY FROM THESE IF IT’S WINDY OUTSIDE! I know this seems somewhat obvious, but you don’t want to make this mistake on your first day of class and show just a bit to much skin for some peoples liking.

Lastly, take note to this Fashionista’s arm party! Stack a few of your favorite bracelets together and VOILA – you have an arm party.

One Simple Change: Wearing heels to class can be challenging especially if you are walking all around campus like I am this semester. Switch out the heels for a safe pair of combat boots or oxford flats for a bit more comfort.
