New year, new room and, most importantly, new styles. The first week of school is probably the most hectic yet exciting time of a college student’s life. There is no better feeling then having the opportunity for a fresh start. College is the time to try out new things, including trying out new styles. High school tends to be less diverse than college, which can lead to people all looking similar. A typical high school outfit for me usually consisted of Abercrombie & Fitch jeans and a pair of UGGs. People concentrated on brand names rather than originality. In my experience, college is much different than high school and for the better; there are less cliques and more individual styles.
I caught this Fashionista wondering to her new building and was instantly drawn to her brightly colored shorts. First impressions are important so I think this Fashionista nailed it by choosing an outfit that’s well put together, yet not too dressy or flashy. Move in day, along with walking around campus in general, is a workout so comfort is definitely an important aspect to keep in mind when choosing an outfit.
What you wear can give a person some insight on what your personality is like. The flowers and liveliness of this Fashionista’s outfit coincided with her bubbly personality. She came across as someone I would want to get to know. The brightly colored sunflowers on her high-waisted shorts are enough to brighten up someone’s day.
One Simple Change: It’s good that this Fashionista took advantage of this sunny warm weather because Oneonta gets cold fast. When this dreaded colder weather starts to occur, she could throw on a long cardigan and some brown leather combat boots.
